Empowered by knowledge, united in action
As someone deeply invested in the educational process, I’m proud to have contributed to improving UW College of Engineering courses through my work with the Engineering Teaching and Learning Office. These experiences have not only enriched my understanding of teaching but have also inspired me to apply what I’ve learned to courses and teams I instruct in the future.
Rather than fearing failure, I see it as an opportunity to grow and learn, a mindset that continues to shape my path. I have embraced that mindset as I stepped outside the world of higher education and joined Blue Origin’s Materials and Processes team as a graduate student intern, building connections that I can bring back to UW. I carry forward the lessons and collaborative spirit I’ve cultivated, and I’m excited to continue teaching, learning, and growing in every space I’m a part of.
shaping tomorrow.
My time as an intern has been deeply impactful to me, thanks to fantastic mentorship and opportunities to practice what I teach in the university setting. I first joined Blue in 2025, designing and executing a test campaign to evaluate the electrical and mechanical properties of thermal protection systems (TPS) for Blue Origin's New Shepard vehicle. This work included diagnosing and repairing emerging problems with cryogenic insulation equipment and evaluating TPS resistance to many chemical environments using qualitative and quantitative metrics. This year, I have the fantastic opportunity to continue my time with the Materials and Processes team in Summer 2026!
